2004 NASCAR Featherlite
Modified Series Awards Banquet
The swanky Mohegan Sun Casino played host to the 2004
NASCAR Featherlite Modified Series Awards Banquet on
Saturday, December 18. The highlight of the ceremony was
the crowning of impressive veteran Tony Hirschman as the
’04 champion – his fourth such title.
Our driver, Renee was in attendance to receive the
accolades for her 20th place finish – her FMS
career best, as well as the highest finish ever by a
female.
During the festivities NASCAR aptly recognized
long-time, yet departing Series’ title sponsor -
Featherlite – for their many years of dedication and
support. In turn, NASCAR brass unveiled the impressive
Sam Bass designed logo for the newly named NASCAR Whelen
Modified Tour. Generously, Whelen provided each driver
in the top-20 with a beautiful wool and leather jacket
embroidered with the new logo.
Additionally, the much anticipated 2005 schedule
was also released. While the Tour will return
to several traditional venues, NASCAR excitedly
announced the addition of Jennerstown (PA) and Myrtle
Beach (SC) speedways.
Please take a moment to review the attached schedule. We
hope you’ll be able to take in a race or two during the
fast-approaching season!
In the meantime, all of us at Dupuis Racing LLC extend
our wishes to you for a happy and safe holiday season!
