New Hampshire International Speedway
On Saturday, July
15 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour competitor Renee
Dupuis ran before a record crowd of
approximately 44,000 spectators at the
1.058-mile New Hampshire International Speedway
(Loudon, NH).
On Saturday
morning, prior to the start of the race, Renee
participated in a live radio interview from the
track media center. Renee bantered back and
forth with the two on-air morning personalities
throughout the 20 minute interview.
Just a short while
later, the green flag dropped on the NWMT
100-lap event. Dupuis steadily worked her way
forward thru the strong, 42-car field. Just
before the halfway mark, at lap 48, Dupuis
pitted for fresh tires – while running in the 13th
position (a race high). Fighting her way back up
thru the field, when the checkered flag flew,
Dupuis crossed the finish line in 18th
place.
Next, the WMT
moves to the 1/3-mile Waterford Speedbowl
(Waterford, CT) for a 150-lap event. |
