Off Season Update
With the off-season well underway, we
wanted to take a moment to provide you with a brief
update on what we’ve been up to…
First, the new Troyer chassis has already
received a fresh, bright red Air Born Coatings finish.
The chassis is back in the race shop being reassembled
for the inaugural 2005 Whelen Modified Series (WMS)
season.
Speaking of the WMS season, we’re
anxiously awaiting NASCAR’s release of our 2005
schedule. In the meantime, Stafford Motor Speedway (Stafford Springs,
CT) recently announced their ’05 schedule with four
confirmed WMS dates: April 24, May 27, August 12 and
October 2. We’ll be sure to post the entire schedule as
soon as it is released.
In other news, Jason Dupuis – the No. 90
team crew chief – is recovering from extensive
reconstructive surgery on his left elbow/arm. As some of
you might remember, Jason originally broke his arm this
past spring while handling drums of racing fuel. For
several weeks following the surgery, Jason was confined
to a hospital bed outfitted with a machine that opened
and closed his elbow joint for 23 hours a day! Please
join us in wishing Jason well while he continues to
recover.
Our driver – Renee – has been keeping
quite busy as an independent contractor doing ‘Ride &
Drive’ programs for various top-rated automobile
manufacturers. Just in recent weeks, Renee has worked
outside
Philadelphia, Atlanta
and Miami. As a supplement to her ‘9 to 5’ job, Renee
uses the income generated from this side-work to help
fund the race team.
Moreover, Renee will again serve as a
‘team leader’ for the 10th annual Lyn St.
James Driver Development Program. A 1994 graduate of
Lyn’s inaugural event, Renee will travel to Phoenix (AZ)
from December 8th thru the 12th
volunteering her time and energy assisting up and coming
female drivers from all over North America. Among other
things, the program consists of an on-track day at
Phoenix International Raceway; physical and mental
preparedness instruction; media training and
informational seminars.
Thanks for checking back - we look
forward to updating you again soon! |
