New England Dodge
Dealers 150 NASCAR
Last
evening, Stafford Motor Speedway (Stafford Springs, CT)
held the ‘New England Dodge Dealers 150’ NASCAR
Featherlite Modified Series race. Originally scheduled
for August 11, the event was postponed because of
inclement weather.
Renee, who started deep in the field of 31 cars,
struggled most of the evening with an ill-handling race
car to eventually finish in the 18th spot. As
a result, she moved up two positions in the season point
standings and is now ranked 19th.
The
FMS will make a somber return to Thompson International
Speedway (Thompson, CT) on Sunday, August 29 where they
will run the remainder of the New England Dodge
Dealers/Budweiser 150. The race was rescheduled after a
horrific accident in the early stages of the race sadly
claimed the life of veteran FMS racer Tom Baldwin Sr.
