Marking the close of the most difficult stretch on the 2005 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour schedule, the series returned to the 1.058-mile New Hampshire International Speedway (Loudon, NH) on Friday, September 16.
As seems to be the weather trend for NHIS, rains forced the cancellation of qualifying for the Tour. With the 39-car field lining up on the starting grid according to points, Renee started the 100-lap race from the 17th position.
With just 21-laps completed, Renee and her crew members made the intelligent decision to pull behind the pit wall after experiencing oil pressure problems. This is the second event in a row that engine troubles have forced the team to retire early. The team was credited with a highly disappointing 32nd place finish.
With a rare weekend off, Renee and the No. 90 team will next return to action at Stafford Motor Speedway on Sunday, October 2 for the running of the annual ‘Fall Final.’
