Rain Claims Second WMT Event of 2005
Due to persistent rain showers, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event at Thompson International Speedway (CT) - originally scheduled for Sunday, June 12 - has been rescheduled to Saturday, October 8. Thompson will honor all tickets and passes for the rescheduled date.
Prior to the rain and despite the stifling heat – by noon the thermometer read well over 90 degrees – the WMT was able to complete their hour-long test session. According to official NASCAR transponder lap times, Dupuis logged the 13 th fastest time out of the 41 teams present.
With a small break in the schedule, the number 90 team will return to action on Saturday, June 25 at New London's 1/3-mile Waterford Speedbowl.
