Women in the Winner’s Circle
On
Monday, May 24, 2004, NASCAR Featherlite Modified Series
competitor Renee Dupuis will travel to Indianapolis, IN
to participate in the second annual “Women in the
Winner’s Circle” program. Dupuis will depart for this
special event immediately following her run in the
NASCAR FMS ‘Service Electric 100’ (a support race for
NASCAR’s prominent Busch Grand National division) at
Nazareth Speedway (Nazareth, PA).
During the invitation-only event, Dupuis will be
featured along with 20-30 other championship-caliber
drivers representing all areas of motorsports (including
invited guests: Janet Gutherie, Lyn St. James, Louise
Smith, Sarah Fisher, Angelle Savoie, Shawna Robinson,
Danica Patrick, Erin Crocker, etc.).
After a successful experience in May of 2003, the second
“Women in the Winner’s Circle”
event will again showcase
winning women racers - celebrating their achievements
and demonstrating the importance for women to become
actively involved in all aspects of motorsports. Dupuis
will join champion drivers; authors; engineers and
leaders in the motorsports community - from the past,
present and future.
The
main purpose of “Women in the Winner’s Circle” is to
elevate the importance of women in racing and to educate
the media, fans, sanctioning bodies, potential sponsors,
and others of the incredible talented pool of winning
women drivers. By attending, Dupuis is hoping to take
advantage of this opportunity to get to know other
drivers, cultivate relationships, and take part in the
planned special events.
While in Indianapolis, Dupuis will be participating in
the following schedule:
11:00 am – 12:00 pm Silent Auction, ‘Meet and
Greet’ with Champion Drivers
12:00 pm – l:45 pm Grand

All
